Obituary for Charlie Mae Thomas

Charlie Mae Thomas was born December 12, 1935 In Elmore, Alabama to the late Emma and Joe Thomas. She attended and graduated school in Chicago.

She worked at Shapiro Developmental Center then transferred to Manteno State Hospital which the name later changed to Manteno Veteran's Home. She retired after 45 years of service.

Charlie Mae loved Playing Cards and going to the Casino. She loved Michael Jackson. She had a witty personality and a winning smile. And everyone she met loved her. She loved her family and was their for them through thick and thin.

She leaves to mourn 3 sons, Samuel Thomas of Joliet, IL, Mario Thomas (Willette) and Ardell Thomas of Kankakee, IL.Terrell Thomas (Nephew/Son) of Kankakee, IL. One Sister Barbara Johnson (John) of Kankakee, IL, Two Brothers, Albert Thomas (Ann) of Kankakee, IL and Fred Thomas (Annie) of Manteno, IL. 6 Grandchildren, Felicia Thomas, Danielle Thomas, Travis Thomas and Damar Thomas (Cecelia) of Kankakee, IL, Mario Thomas, Jr (Bianca) of Bourbonnais, IL, Keno Whitlow of Bradley, IL. 8 Great Grandchildren and a host of Family and Friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emma and Joe Thomas, her brothers, Charles, James and Joe Thomas, Jr, her Sisters Emma Simmons and Evelyn Jackson.
